Error Messages

Here's a breakdown of what you need to do for some of our error messages.

Important: For all error messages, first follow these three steps to try to rectify the issue:
  1. Make sure you are updated to latest version.
  2. Make sure you have adequate disk space available on the volume Drawboard is installed on (typically C: drive)
  3. Restart your device
On top of the three steps above, some specific error codes that you can act upon include:
  • 0x006 - Error opening password protected document (perhaps an incorrect password?)
  • 0x008 - File is only available online (e.g. Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive), but device is offline, so connect to the internet.
  • 0x009 - Ensure that the file is not open in any other application.
  • 0x012 - This is an issue of an older version of Drawboard PDF - you must make sure app version is 3.8.1.1 or above

Lastly, i
f you experience an error message when opening your files it could be that the device's 'future access list' has become exhausted.

You can follow the below steps to get this back on track:
  1. Clear the recent file list from the home screen
  2. From the home screen open the settings -> App Options -> Misc -> Reset Default Settings
  3. Restart your device

If none of the steps above rectified the issue, send us the PDF you're trying to use and let us know what error code you are
